xrandr dpi on VMWare

Hi all,

I'm running #! on VMWare Player on Windows 8.  Everything works great, except that I need to crank up the dpi.

I get the following error:

$ xrandr --dpi 105
xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default

I suspect it's because #! doesn't recognize the display since it's running as a guest OS.

Any idea how I can get this to work?  I searched around and it seems I can try modifying my /etc/X11/xorg.conf, but I don't actually have that conf file.

Thank you!
