All of that will work in #!.

Requirements:
* Perl (comes preinstalled on nearly all distrobutions of Linux, BSD and Solaris) - You may have to install this.

sudo apt-get install perl

* wine (install instructions on http://winehq.org)

Needs to be installed

* a desktop environment(gnome, kde, unity, etc)

Already there

* wget (to download the client and to check which imvu clients are compatible with wine)

you may have to install wget

sudo apt-get install wget

Then follow all the other instructions
