Hi everyone,
Well, after a long journey of different desktop flavors of Linux Mint and trying out Fuduntu (great netbook distro btw but I really missed the debian universe and didn't want to compile programs that weren't in the repositories or dig around for RPMs), I'm back to #! on my Asus netbook. I guess I missed the raw, minimal, no non-sense desktop environment that always left a good impression on me. I'll be spending this weekend getting reacquainted with the openbox menu and conky and re-installing all my programs.
Cheers!
William

Hi rayliam,
Whithout you knowing, you just kept me going on !#.
This is my first attempt ever to work under a debian based distro; much more acquainted with rpm's already part of my life in the last 15 years or so.
But it was time to move outside my comfort zone and go minimal ... after all my Asus netbook does not match well avant garde distro's and I want simplicity, no show off.
I still have to put effort on the Fn keys to put them work (at least some of them) but that will be juice for another thread, another time, at the usual forum place.
In short, good to know that Asus netbook fans are represented @ !#, I'll need there help sooner or later.
Cheers,
N.

And even though you're posting from a brand new account, you still get the un/official "Welcome Back" song.
