Crunchbang installation minimum specification requirements

I am sure that this has already been asked but I couldn't find an answer.

What are the minimum specs required for crunchbang to run efficiently ?

Well, I'm currently using a Pentium M processor (1.4Ghz) and have 512MB RAM and can run freshly installed #! perfectly fine, and when I only had 256MB RAM, as far as I can recall #! ran fine on that too from a standard install.
The Debian guide says that you can run X with 64MB RAM as an absolute minimum; so the RAM requirement for #! to run smoothly will be somewhere between 64 and 256MB.

My experience is that CrunchBang will successfully install on hardware that is too low-spec to run the applications I use on a daily basis. For example I once successfully installed #! Statler on a P3 with a mere 384mb RAM, but it was pretty painful to use Iceweasel and LibreOffice at the same time (swapping like crazy) which is what I need to get my job done.

In other words it is more likely that your minimum system requirements will be determined by the applications you need, not by #! itself (which needs less than 100mb RAM for most configurations). If you only use lightweight terminal apps then you can get away with older hardware than if you plan to run several full-featured apps at the same time. Personally I know from experience that anything less than dual-core processor with 1gb RAM is insufficient for my multimedia-heavy, multitasking workflow, despite the fact #! can be successfully installed on far lesser specs.

An example of how app choice is the most important factor is my love of baseball. mlb.com's browser-based flash viewer is completely unwatchable on my P4 and Atom machines. However using a script called mlbviewer and mplayer, I was able to watch games smoothly even on the P3 I mentioned above!

According to Debian doc.   The bare minimum is a Pentium 4 clocked at 1 Ghz  (http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i … 04.html.en).  I assume that still may hold true with Chrunch.

I have crunchbang 10  running on a pentium 3 at 600MHz with 192 megs of RAM and it is functional.  I originally installed it on the computer while it had 64 megs of onboard RAM and then added a 128 meg chip.  Before I put the 128 meg RAM chip in it was barely functional but still was able to do things, just not very many.
