Hello everyone,
been searching for a stable distro to give my thinkpad a rest.
Was a zealous arch user for couple of years^^. Was bodhi user for some time and many other great and not so great distros.
Working as a computational linguist and using linux for that purpose.

Welcome to CrunchBang, minerals, from another ThinkPad guy (love 'em, have three or four which are now "loaner" laptops for a Python class I give for homeschooled middle/high schoolers). Enjoy your stay in the forums!

Yo Minerals. Quite a few thinkpad users around here thankfully, including myself. I just love their red nipples.

Welcome to #!
If you liked the Bodhi, you might try installing Enlightment [ e17]. I do roughly the same thing with Xfce, and get a more refined Debian experiance... Plus, the forums here are cool.
