Hello all
I have just downloaded the latest testing iso. While trying it out in live mode I had the following problems :-
1) Unable to connect to the internet via wifi. The network manger box where I would normally fill out the security information was all ghosted out.
2) When I tried to shut down the computer just hung with the dialogue box still on screen. I had to power the PC down using the "off switch". I tried typing "halt" into a shell - no response.
I appreciate the details are a little sparse. Are they worth logging and... can someone suggest a solution. I tried out the production version and was very impressed.
Regards

^ Welcome to the #! forums. What wireless card did you experience this with? Does it work with the live or installed Stable #! version or other distros? Were you shutting down from the live run?

Thank you for the welcome
It is a wireless dongle - Belkin N150 model F6D4050 v2.
Yes it worked with the live stable version of #!. Logoff worked correctly with the stable version.
I forgot to mention that I am using the 32bit version.
I am currently running PCLinuxOS, but obviously looking to change!

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong -- the live Stable version uses backports? Maybe that would explain why the dongle worked there and not in Waldorf?

^ Yes you are correct, the Stable version uses 'backports' ... but my new install of #!Waldorf (x64) works very well for me.
With my laptops (2laps, 1 Netbook) I always use either WiFi and/or a USB-Modem (dongle) ... at the moment, I am using a Virgin Mobile USB thingy.
