I have been using #! 10 for a month now and things are running awesomely well on it. I was thinking about taking the plunge and running Waldorf. I'm sure this topic has been brought up before but I'm wondering if in doing so I can just do an update and it keeps most of my settings or am I stuck out on a limb and will have to re-do everything?
Not that I really mind one way or another. I could just wait for 11 to finish the dev cycle.
Decisions decisions O.o

If I were you I'd make a clonezilla image of your current setup, then if it all goes TU just reinstall it

Used clonezilla for years here, never not been able to make a backup or restore one.

Something tells me you need to install clonezilla and just use that as the means of backup / restore since it over writes existing settings to make the custom settings work.

You don't install it, run it from a live cd or from a usb & create an image of the system on a separate disk. It can backup across the network & there are other options but I just do this. You do not install it.
