There are several Dock options.  Tint2 can be made into an incredible dock with some work, there is a How To in my sig line.

Awn is good, Docky is good, and Cairo Dock is good but uses a bit more resources.

I would research anyone of these to determine which you may want.

Good Luck!

...and there seems to be a lot of interest in interactive Conkys, which I'm sure can be turned into a dock of some sort.  But I agree that all the docks VastOne are good options.

Terminal code would be `sudo apt-get install {package}`, where {package} is the name of the package providing the dock.

Re: A good dock for Crunch bang 10?

^ To change the host name, do this:

1. sudo geany /etc/hostname
2. Save the file with the hostname you like to set
3. sudo /etc/init.d/hostname.sh start

Changing the username is easy too, but Root/root is already an account on the system.

awn is

sudo apt-get install avant-window-navigator

Don't forget ADeskBar Very lightweight! Besides, Awn brings with it more Gnome dependencies than Ubuntu has bloat.

Most people do forget about it. It use to be pretty boring, but now it's come a long way, and fits nicely with Openbox. big_smile

Re: A good dock for Crunch bang 10?

That's a good question VastOne. I know the original guy who developed it made a post a while ago (maybe a year or so) saying some other Russian guy was taking it over, and then the 0.5 version came out. Haven't heard much about it since then.

Edit - Just found this...http://bbs.archbang.org/viewtopic.php?id=1777

Re: A good dock for Crunch bang 10?

Another AdeskBar fan here. cool
I tried 0.5 but it seemed a bit flaky so went back to 0.4-3. The drop-down "drawers" are very useful.

Of course you've also got the panels like xfce4-panel or lxpanel which give the same sort of result if you just use the launcher items.
