This is a fantastic disclaimer. Though I must admit, when I first started to dable with Linux, I was attracted to crunchbang but at the time I needed a stable machine (I was living in Africa with limited internet access). After moving back to the US and after becoming much more comfortable with Linux (that's all I use now) I finally did give #! a try and I love it.

Hi,
CrunchBang Linux could possibly make your computer go CRUNCH! BANG!
I'm running #!Crunch on 2 Laptops since over a year.
One under Squeeze, and one under Wheezy and nothing!! go CRUNCH BANG never.
So #! is the best system for me, great Work.

Well, it seems to make my machine go "Crunch, Bang!" a lot less than Mint 12 did, which is what I switched from.

I admit, it probably isn't the distro for a n00b .... but, since I aint a n00b, then, I guess it will be fine.

It's hard to remember your main objective was to drain the swamp, when you are up to you ass in alligators.

^ it was my noob-distro, so unless i am something very, very special (which could be true), i think #! is fairly noob-friendly

If the user leaves the defaults as they are, nothing will break. Of course until the 'shave off 12 Kilobyte RAM usage by removing tty's' begins.

^ it is indeed quite difficult to really break the entire thing. however, on my first day of using #!, during the initiation rite of Total Customization, i suddenly found myself without my tint2 taskbar. seemed i messed something up with config-files. same thing happened multiple times with conky. however, instead of scared and angry, it got me laughing and excited. that was probably when i started falling in love with Linux, and #!

There's still the magic trick:

Well, you did like Forrest Gump.
(Just ribbin' ya, Roald.)
CrunchBang was my second Linux distro after Ubuntu (OK, third if you count the Dellbuntu that came on my netbook), but since I learned practically nothing about Linux using those other than the fact that the early versions of UNR run like molasses, I suppose you could say CrunchBang was my n00b distro as well.

CrunchBang has been my first Linux distro. Including all the trouble switching from Windows to Linux, I cant say it was much harder than switching from XP to Vista; More rewording though:)

The disclaimer is fine - and it reminds us, that we have a great part in computer's security and stability.
The machine can only be as perfect as the man / woman sitting in front of the display.
