Initially the network manager icon showed up fine in the system tray, but after a few modifications it has disappeared. Wireless is still working fine though.
I have put back to their original settings tint2, Openbox autostart, and checked out the threads dealing with the double nm-applet problem (http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … mapplet-s/)
The strange thing is, there is no mention of network manager in either Openbox autostart or /etc/xdg/autostart
Any ideas what I've done wrong? I haven't made any major changes except for the Nvidia driver installation.
EDIT : I had somehow managed to remove network-manager-gnome, I suspect while I was playing around with smxi. I reinstalled the package and my wireless icon has come back.
