Hello. I'm a computer engineering college student from Arkansas.
I've tried a ton of distros in the past 10 or so years, and some I've come to appreciate, but Crunchbang is so much better than the rest. I like the minimalism and default applications. I feel like #! is one of the few distros that is listening to what users want. My second favorite distro would have to be Mint, but it's not as light as #!. Also, I'm growing fond of Openbox. Why choose a DE with its own set of apps when you can grab something minimalist (Openbox) and pick the best apps from other DE's like #! is doing? That strategy is win.
I've installed #! on my 12" netbook, and soon I'm planning on putting it on my gaming rig to switch full-time to Linux.

Welcome my friend. Enjoy it... I was the same way, #! now powers my home server and main desktop system. It's a good setup and distro.
