Hello everyone!
My name is Jamie, I'm 26 and live in the Midlands, England. I've been using Linux on and off for quite a few years now but only ever for a bit of fun, and have never really used it as my main OS. I won't bore you with a long list of distros that I have and haven't used but I have tried out my fair share, though it has to be said I have stuck with the more newbie friendly ones!
Until recently I hadn't been using Linux at all, but after reading Gabe Newell's thoughts concerning WIndows 8, and the fact he has branded it a 'Catastrophe' - I started to think maybe it was time to look elsewhere. Up until now the main reason I haven't stuck with Linux as my main OS has been the fact it's just that much easier to play the games I want to on Windows. But with Gabe also stating Valve are working on a Steam client for Linux, I see a light at the end of the tunnel!
That said one of the distro's I have enjoyed the most during my recent look at Linux has been crunchbang! Although a little less newbie friendly than I have been accustomed to - I have coped well enough so far!
Regards,
Jamie

Yeah, but I bet you've learned some wicked-cool CLI tricks that you never knew existed before! It certainly worked out that way for me.
