I've been using #! for some time (about 2 years). I made the move away from windows a couple years back, and enjoyed every bit since then.
I miss some of the out-of-the-box functionality ubuntu had (specially when it comes to thinkpad specific drivers), but the default application choices are definitely smarter on CB than any ubuntu flavor.
I have been on various distros, but #! really gave me the best compromise between lightweightedness and easy of use.
The issues I have had have not made me mortally vulnerable to zombie bites / ninja attacks / windows, therefore it is a distro I can only recommend.
