Just to let you guys know, here's a overview of near all screenshot threads of the last years, just scroll down. Will post a new scrot tomorrow, still Scrot/SpectrWM with near no changes.

seems like the same boat I'm in
ditto!
Something about scrotwm/spectrwm just makes me work. I don't see the desktop as something I need to beautify lol.

^ was just thinking that as I was catching up. I'm was recently in xfce, which I liked. But somehow, I always end up back in Scrotwm. There is something to love about each WM, but on the same token there is just something about Scrot that brings me back again and again. As @FiniteSatatMachine so eloquently states above.
I'd post a screenshot, but it's what you'd expect to see. Tiling windows, with horizontal conky on top.
Open apps at the moment, xterm, midori, sublime-text; desktop 1,2,3
rock on....

We should have a "post your boring desktop" thread. I always feel left out of these screenshot threads because I mainly use ratpoison, with one app full screen at a time and a single line conky. Sometimes I split the screen into two windows if I'm feeling adventurous
Every once in a while I'll put something "pretty" together on a test machine (like this), but it's not my everyday desktop, and it still never comes close to some of the stuff I see on here.

I'm in agreement with all of you... a boring desktop thread is a must!
I do think theres a certain satisfaction that can come from having a nicely-designed desktop though. The right terminal colours, everything matching, etc. I keep XFCE around for that purpose
But no other WM (besides perhaps AwesomeWM) has made me think less about the actually OS.

@pidsley
Ratpoison is cool my favorite
I like the idea for one app full screen, especially for minilaptops.
What is the browser?
Playing with dwm custom fork version
CURRENT FEATURES
Integrated Ratpoison/StumpWM style (using prefix key)
Without floating and tile windows support
For split the windows, you must use Gnu/Screen or Tmux etc..
The only layout (Monocle) does not have borders
The custom rules for all applications, are removed
No mouse support (Say good-bye to the rodent)
Dwm-prefix does not have xinerama support
The bar only show tags with clients or if it's current selected as viewable. (in the style of wmii)
The maximum number of tags is 9. (default 3.)

Nice theme and tint2 Morley. I especially like the look and placement of the panel on the left.

Where people found those old game wallpapers?
Thanks. I searched on wallbase.cc for pixel art, after google didn't turn up with something I liked. Unfortunately they seem to be pretty rare, at least for someone with an attention-span of ~3 sec
