i found this thread - http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … -you-from/.
While i was reading this thread i have the idee.
Would it be possible to build a Usermap from the forum accounts?
It would be interesting to see where #! is used.
You can take a loot of this example what i'm mean...

You can get some information in the drop down menu list from User List
I am not sure what a User Map would provide for anyone, perhaps you could expand on your idea?

My idea is to have a world map - google map for example - and a pin in every city from every user.
So we can see the #!-population all over the world..
like http://www.funtoo.org/wiki/Usermap
It would be picture of the crowing #!-community.
And if i travel to a city and see there are #!-users. I can PM them to get information from the city.
And if i see there are #!ers in my area, maybe meet them..

There is something for Linux in general already. Take a look:
Of course, you have to fill in your details and many would have to do this but you will give your data away.
Edit: You can even search by distros but guess it, #! is not there.

Or maybe something like the Users by country map of Linux Mint:

Fedora does the same thing with their Fedora Ambassadors.

And like ivanovnegro says, in this case you have to put in your location (longitude/latitude), if I remember correctly (and just checking it now, I'm still on the map, meaning they don't update it very frequently, since I haven't been active in Fedora for nearly two years).
Aside from the curiosity factor, <mode="just_kidding">the only way it might help me personally is to see which CrunchBangers are near an upcoming Linux expo so I can draft them into helping out at the booth

I'm chipping in to say go register on linuxcounter.net too. no maps there, but lots of stats, with 21 Crunchbang machines. Love to see that number up XD
