Enhancing virtual livecycle

Luckily I read that my account here will get eliminated after
only 7 days of inactivity!
Imagine,5 days of work,passes like a flash,2 days weekend,not even
measurable,7 days gone.Next monday,you remember,there was something
you'd have to do...,arrgh,the #!-forum deadline(past already)!
My suggestion is to expand the tolerated absence to 1 month,if possible.
Is there any chance on it?

Re: Enhancing virtual livecycle

your account will only be terminated after 7 days if you haven't ever made a single post. this is to combat 'ghost' accounts and such. since you have made a couple of posts already, you are free to take a community-sabbatical without having to fear for account-deletion smile

I have heard of  workaholism, family slavery, and self-hibernation, and my condolences if you suffer from any, or all, of them. And I'm as old and forgetful as anyone on this forum -- in fact, I'd challenge anyone here to be as . . . um, what was I saying? big_smile

All of which is to say I hope you find more time to hang out here, errorist.

Re: Enhancing virtual livecycle

errorist, I had a 200+ posts long ago, and then, I changed distro to linux mint fluxbox 9.   Then
last year I switched back to #! and still had my account (which grew to over 300 posts since
then).

No worrries.

Re: Enhancing virtual livecycle

Glad to hear!
But no reason to switch distro anymore!
I will stay on Debian/#! as long as there won't appear a distro
with a 10 year releasecycle!

OT, and no offense intended:  So many Linux users are always jonesing after a distro with a longer release cycle...then ten minutes after they install the latest long-term release, they start asking "how can I get the latest [insert-favorite-app-here] in this release?" tongue

Anyway, glad to hear you'll be sticking around, and even if you switch distros, you're still welcome in the #! forum.

Re: Enhancing virtual livecycle

@ivanovnegro: Ok,you got me!But I'm not crying for some bleedin edge stuff.
I just thought,it can't be such a problem to build "such a little app",
but the list of dependencies brings me to a quick end!
I think,I'm patient enough,to wait for the Waldorf release!

^ No problemo, I am using Sid! big_smile And you do not have to wait for Waldorf, it is already available to install, of course not officially released yet.
