Re: Text in crunchbang

Not sure what you're talking about.
Do you mean the bash prompt in your terminal?
If so, you just have to tinker with your .bashrc file.

Re: Text in crunchbang

You can see a list of the commands you entered with

history

I'm not sure if there's a way to view scrolled text.  You can probably set it up to record to a log file which you could then re-read, but I don't think this is done by default.

Hope that helps

Re: Text in crunchbang

@bacon: That's probably the better way to do it, yes.  Alternatively piping it into a textfile:

history > history.txt

Re: Text in crunchbang

i forget, what does statler have originally in it's motd?  surely not the whole cowsay... maybe just that cleaner fotune thing (the non-gui one) i forget the name of.   ...?

or... wasnt there a first-run script...?  ah yes, it's still there, commented out, in my old ~/.config/openbox/autostart.sh

cb-welcome --firstrun

that stuff maybe?

AFAIK, there never was a non-GUI version of cb-fortune...always been a notification popup with a Statler icon.

It would help if jtouso would respond...
