Yup. Xonotic looks awesome. Sauerbraten :Cube 2 also looks good. It is also in the repository.
I wish there was a free FPS or TPS like Max Payne for Linux. Sadly Max Payne 3 that is set to arrive next month is only for Windows and Mac.
#! is beautiful.

Do any crunchbangers play Mass Effect 3 for PC? I'd love to get some private matches going.

I managed to finish VVVVVV last night! I resolved to beat that damn computer and didn't go to bed until I'd finished. 2 hours from start to finish, I think I died around 864 times, but I did it. Brilliant game.

How does ME3 run on Wine? ME2 works alright with a crack, but performance is a little sluggish compared to XP.
Don't know, haven't tried. You would have to crack it to even try unless you run EA's Origin DRM platform in WINE.

I will just paste this link here.

I'll just echo my thoughts which I originally posted over at the Arch forums:
While I feel it's potentially good that Steam may be coming to Linux, as it suggests that developers are taking it more seriously as a platform for gaming, I'm also not a huge fan of Steam itself for the simple fact that it's just one huge DRM system. Also, call me a jaded old cynic, but I have this fear that if Linux becomes a "popular" gaming platform, it will attract "gaming jocks", and we will see a slew of "AAA" titles at the expense of some of the more interesting indie developments which are being made. I think these AAA titles are a disease in much the same way that I think Hollywood films are a disease and "user friendliness" is a disease.
In summary: Double edged sword.

sometimes all you need is to face the worst fear you have and to overcome it.

hey ho...
ive got an idea...
ive found in germany a "linux onlineshop" wich provides usbsticks with preinstalled debian squeeze.
http://www.linux-onlineshop.de/Hardware … ebian.geek
2 things:
first: make this usb stik #! :-)
second: add xonotic to it ;-)
i think it could work if the "load everything into RAM" boot option is used...
xonotic runns on my lenovo t61 with 2 gig ram and win 7 at a 2,1ghz cpu
so i belive it would run with #! too...
any suggestions?
greetz kdb aka trustabug
ps: have to install #! waldorf 64 ;-)
rechtschreibfehlersindzumsammelnda;-)
O-o
my IP is 42

I have a terrible speed issue with running SC and SC:BW in Wine, at least I did last time I tried on Squeeze. Haven't tried since upgrading...

Well I never had any problems here. But I recently tried to get it to run on a computer I expected to be able to handle it - turned out it was much too laggy to play

I'm pretty sure my issue was a Wine regression.
