Hey guys, I have recently added fluxbox to my older #! xfce install, and I then added tint2 to it. My question is this. For some reason, I have the words "Workspace 1" and "Workspace 2" in my taskbars. I'd like to remove the word "Workspace" and just have the numbers if that's possible. I have searched and can't seem to find an answer to this one. Anybody?

I think it is what you are looking for... I did a search here on the forum for tingt2 + workspace1 and found it..

@VastOne: No, I had read that post. What I am getting is not a "1" or a "2" in the taskbar, but I am getting "Workspace 1" and "Workspace 2." What I want is the default setup in the new Wheezy which is a simple numeral.
I wonder if I am using a different version of tint2 on my stable install as opposed to Wheezy. Hmmmm.
Thanks for your quick response, though.

It may be a different Tint2 version issue then..
Have you tried the same config from Wheezy on the Stable tint2?
I believe you can compile and run the newer svn versions of Tint2 on Stable

1. Open the Openbox GUI config tool (it's in the settings section in the CrunchBang Openbox menu).
2. Go to the Desktops tab.
3. Edit the desktop labels.
4. ???
5. Profit!

^ & @OP: Oops, missed that.
Surely there's a config file for Fluxbox similar to ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml?

Well, now that I have my taskbar setup like I like it and have nice looking gray borders drawn, it's a lot easier to see my 2 workspaces so maybe I won't need the numbers at all. I have turned them completely off and it's not so bad.
