Do torrent clients follow symlinks?

Do you guys know if rtorrent (or any torrent client) follows symlinks? As in, could I move a torrented file & symlink it to my torrent folder for rtorrent to continue seeding? Thanks!

Re: Do torrent clients follow symlinks?

I actually had to create a symlink in my home folder to another drive to get rtorrent/rutorrent to add torrents correctly. If I directed  it to ~/mountpoints/sdc/torz it would work, but /media/sdc/torz would not.
