Does Xterm have an urxvt-style "fade" option?

I switched terminal emulators, urxvt has some problems that I don't wanna debug. xterm rocks, but it doesn't seem to have the fade option. Do any of the local gurus know more than me?

The cursor disappears if I enable compositing. It annoys the hell out of me.

EDIT: I have another urxvt issue, whilst we're at it: when I enable compositing and make it transparent, my window border gets transparent too. Guru's know how to solve?

Well, apparently xterm has the same option, but it doesn't work on my machine. Growl.

Take a look at the True Transparency section; I think that's what i used for urxvt so it would work with xfce compositing.

I don't usually use compositing, so I can't be positive.

I'm not into transparency, but fading - dimming inactive windows - like this:
