Koko, you can imagine how long my stay at Masturbuntu was. No wonder my father likes it so much.
sda7 and sda9 are reserved for "jokes" like this, pure distrohopping and destroyhopping. There is no box of gold at the end of the rainbow. Not even in Buntuland.

Mind sharing your term colors and font?
Of course good sir,
I use terminator with Terminus 10 font, gray on black.
The colours you see are vim syntax highlighting, enable those in your ~/.vimrc by uncommenting the "syntax on" line. You may also want to show line numbers by adding a "set number" line too.
I use vimpager which in turn colourizes man pages via said vim syntax highlighting.
Edit: Its the standard "Tango" colors that comes with Linuxes, and "palegreen" as the selected border color (in spectrwm).

@machine destroyer:
destroyhopping, yes, that is exactly what you always do.
If you want to try Kubuntu, maybe better install it itself, I did not try any Kubuntu's since 11.04 but this one with KDE 4.8 looks pretty sweet and I already liked 11.04, I never liked anything pre-Kubuntu 11.04.
Maybe I should take the second machine and install the whole KDE to see if I can break a Debian Sid system with that bunch of packages, though Sid is still on 4.7.

@MotherIvanov
:blush: actually it was I-don't-remember-whose-fault over there in the Anonymous group who said that the new Kubuntu is snappy (or am I fantasizing?) and then the keyboard jumped against my fingers and somehow automagically the putah has apt-gotten that stuff.
Before enabling kWin's epic effects everything was really snappy. Best KDE experience so far - no kidding

^ Ah, that infamous thread, I quit some weeks or months ago even such threads.
Did not test it but was on Kubuntu's page looking what they offer, not bad.

Messing around with awesome some more, putting together some themes based on these nice term colors found here: http://dotshare.it/dots/87/
Here's another using scrotwm, inspired by same term colors with visuals provided by stuff I grabbed off this forum... Sorry to bite.. I need to come up with my own stuff
Just having some fun.
