Archos 101 G9

I recently (this morning) bought an Archos tablet, so that I didn't always need to take out my computer for everything.

However, I seem to be having some issues...

According to Archos, the G9 should appear as an MTP device, but neither Rhythmbox nor Banshee recognize it, and Thunar doesn't show it. (My android phone appears the moment I plug it in).

Has anyone else had this kind of problem?  MTP-tools doesn't even find the device, (but the table says it's plugged in).

I have tried:
1) Using different cables (3)
2) Google (but all they suggested was mtp tools)

Danke!

Re: Archos 101 G9

I have an older Archos and it works fine but it is not using MTP, I have also a Creative Sound thing and that one is MTP, I never could connect it to my Linux machine, it happened the same you described. I know this does not help, just saying.

Re: Archos 101 G9

It is just seen as a normal USB device. And I bought it especially because of that.
