So this has happened twice now, and am not sure what triggers it but...sometimes when I boot up my laptop and after #! has loaded, at the login screen my keyboard isn't registered or something as I can not type. If I reboot it is fine but am curious as to why this has happened twice

If you drop to tty1 can you type there?
Correct...letters, number, symbols, arrows, anything. Sorry but I am unaware of what tty1 is...and also, sense it does not happen everytime I boot, it will probably be hard to test that. (I've had #! for two weeks, and its only happened twice)

OK, the next time it does happen, hit ctrl + alt + F1 .... That will drop you to tty1 and a terminal. See if you have any keyboard functions from there...

Just so you know ctrl + alt + f1 through f6 are different and can be used.. ctrl + alt + f7 gets you back to the desktop

So it happened again (haven't rebooted for a while)
@Vast, ctrl+alt+f1 did not work...I should've assumed that sense they are no different from the keys I use to log in haha
None of the keys work when this happens and the only thing I can do is use the touchpad...Anyways, any other ideas?

Still going over the info you posted. Noticed that your wireless is using an older firmware version.
Check if installed 'firmware-iwlwifi' is the latest version:
apt-cache policy firmware-iwlwifior
reinstall it so you know it is the latest version:
sudo apt-get --reinstall install firmware-iwlwifiYou said you have to reboot to regain keyboard activity?
In that case, eventual error messages can not be present in the info you posted - my bad.
Can you post the output of
cat /var/log/dmesg.0after the incident occurred and you have rebooted.
Also post output of

Post output of commands after the problem occurred, except for the last command, because info in /var/log/messages is accumulated. It is possible that the command produces no output at all.
