^The netbook will remain Linux/Debian for the foreseable future, don't worry. I kinda like phc (undervolting), systemd and ext4 on a portable.

@Matt D., a little more understated than your usual, very nice. I know you've mentioned it, and I may have even asked before, but what's your panel again?
@slobman, bright! Nice change of pace.

@bacon, many thanks! The setup is a complete mashup... Emerald and murrine-rgba from Ubuntu & Launchpad, AWN (with my own theme) and Banshee from experimental, kernel 3.2, gnome-keyring and xfce4-notifyd from testing, Xfce desktop, Compiz, Nautilus and the rest from squeeze. It should have all gone boom by now, but so far, so good.
I've been so pleased with it that I wiped Windows and my other partitions and am just running this.

htop running in xfce4-terminal shows 195 at boot, not at all taxing my 1199MBs. I've never seen much more than half my RAM in use, and RAM is there to be used.

Yeah, I was just curious. Largely depends on the gfx adapter, too. Compiz is actually quite light.
