duh, hungry.. now...mouth..watering.. no bacon at home... was so happy with my vegan indian daal I cooked yesterday. and now this..

here's one from me..: take dates and wrap em with bacon. optionally add some spicy powder. then bake till crisp. good stuff.

You should give the bacon about 90 seconds more in the pan before you put the pasta back in. You'll get more flavor.

I've never cooked dates but did chop some into rice once -- how do they hold up to baking?

stick a toothpick in. I recommend to remove the seed inside as the bacon will get crisp and you want to bite in it

Not sure how I feel about the buffalo turds (not a fan of jalapeños) but I absolutely *love* those bacon-wrapped crab cakes they have at Americanized Chinese food buffets.
