[SOLVED]Un/Decorate windows hotkey

Is there a hotkey, or a way to set a hotkey, to un/decorate windows?

Solution: Yes. There is. Edit rc.xml to include:

<keybind key="A-S-d">
  <action name="ToggleDecorations"/>
</keybind>

This will toggle it off if it's on, and on if it's off.

#!10 statler openbox uses openbox 3.4. Actions should be available here

It would be quite hard to do so, because which window should be undecorated? The active one? You can undecorate certain apps by default (edit rc.xml last section) using xprop to find out the window properties for the window name.

It raises a good question.  Where are these browser commands/options stored?  If you can locate the script, then it should be easy to set up a key combo to run it.

A bit different from what you asked but also the Alt+space combination gives you access to the un/decorate option.

I love #! more than my own kids. I told them and they sympathized.

alt+space is incredibly handy when the window is undecorated usually, but I made myself a move hotkey and a toggle maximize hotkey cool

Re: [SOLVED]Un/Decorate windows hotkey

Are there terminal versions of the decorate commands, such as ToggleDecorations?

Hahaha! Thanks. That's what I was looking for. Needed to redecorate an undecorated window to move it smile Click in window and Alt-Space smile

No, you don't need to redecorate the window. Hold alt and move it with your mouse.

I'm so meta, even this acronym

^ Ah yes, that's what I was actually looking for. Didn't work when I tried it just now on a touchpad, but figured it out now smile
