@gutterslob Thanks smile That game is called "Alleycat", it runs a whopping 320x200 res with a super 4-color palette!

I have a copy which came with my very first pc, can't imagine how many disks this exe has traversed through. I found an open source remake that you can git clone and ./build.sh to make a bin/exe that runs in dosbox.

(did I mention it has superior PC speaker music? emulated via dosbox of course)

Thanks...!  Been using GMB for quite a while now and love how it is as customizable as conky or the xfce panels or tint2 ... Not only quality as a music app but gives me the control to make it look the I want it ...  I have also created 7 layouts that are now part of the gmb collection...

Yes they are another conky...

Basically it is conkyGoogleReader from Kaivalagi and a gmail_parser python scrip that is all over the net...

If you want more on it, let me know...

Psychedelic!! Awesome integration with that now playing widget + album cover + conky + whatnot.
Don't quite understand what you're doing to get that (I've never used Gmusicbrowser), but I'm loving it nonetheless.
Good selection of music to go with the wallpaper too.

@ gutterslob

Thanks!

The entire gmusicbrowser display is done with widgets/layouts that I have created for gmb..  I used to use several conky's and python scripts to get the same thing but using gmb allows for this customization..

I appreciate it!

Well most crunchbanger's came here originally to start their first steps into unknown, this communty is kind of like a small town at the edge of the woods. Then ubuntu and linux mint are like the big city, but some people from the big city came here to venture deeper and learn more about the linux world, then some moved onto arch linux and other advanced distros, (Not really that advanced though, if you follow the beginners guide.) but they already have a well established place here, they are seen alot around the woods, but occasionally they will visit the village and participate in this community. Well that's how I see it.

Good analogy AwesomeFist..

The point I will add as a Big City Slicker coming to the village at the edge of the woods, I thought I knew a lot about linux and in all practical ways I did,, at least enough to solve my own issues in knowing how to ask the correct questions..  With #!, you get to dig a little deeper (and with Arch even more so) in understanding what is really going on with Debian and the underbelly..

If I knew 7 years ago what I know now, there would have been a lot less time pontificating with Ubuntu and a lot more value time in understanding what is really getting the job done...  This is the door that I really appreciate #! and Arch and all other distros opened that broke it down to a solid base to build on...

Ever get the urge to try Slackware? Awesome distro, but I'm hooked on Debian for the time being.

If anybody is interested, I got the same thing working with tint2 and launchers..

Launchers in tint2 open multiple instances with a mouse click or a scroll wheel and there is no setting in tint2 that will change this

I used this link to grab find_app.sh which uses wmctrl as well

http://www.humbug.in/2011/single-keyboa … plication/

and put all of the .desktop configs on my /home/my username/bin directory and edited them as such in the Exec= section:

Exec=find_app.sh "terminator"

Works like a charm...

Here is the tint2 layout that mimics my cairo-doc
