Feedback On Minimal Hardware

Hi this post is to supply Feedback

On a Dell PII 366mHz 128MB Ram
Works good, a bit too much paging I added another 128MB ram and things were very noticeably faster
MP3 playing - not possible sound skips
Audio via YouTube & LastFM - interestingly the Audio via Flash 10 is perfect - no video on YouTube (far too jerky)
Used a USB Wireless adaptor for Wifi
Had to install on a much better laptop then swap HD and there was no boot from CD or USB in the OLD OLD OLD Bios.

However I am very pleased with the USB live install made on my 8GB cruzer stick (I used the unetbootin (from sourceforge) package on an Ubuntu 8.10 install)
This is both very fast and really easy to do.

I have used the USB pen to Install to 2 other machines very handy.

Good work - so far.

Steve

Hi Steven Harper and welcome to the forums smile Thank you for the feedback. I was just about to ask if you wouldn't mind adding this info to the main thread regarding this type of information but just noticed that you've already done it. Great work! smile

Re: Feedback On Minimal Hardware

Hi Steven,
Be sure to try the new Lite version on your PII computer--curious if it will give you a performance boost!
