[Solved]How do you switch Ctrl and Caps Lock on the command line?

Hey guys!

Just a quick question: how do I switch ctrl and caps lock in a virtual terminal (not xterm/urxvt/etc. - I'm talking about tty1-6).

Thanks in advance!

Re: [Solved]How do you switch Ctrl and Caps Lock on the command line?

Problem solved!  For future reference (my own as well as others), the command I used was

echo -e "$(dumpkeys | grep ^keymaps)\nkeycode 58 = Control" | sudo loadkeys

Marking thread solved.

Ugh...problem *not* resolved...every time I press CapsLock (to turn on Control), it sticks and doesn't ever stop (even if I press CapsLock again).

Well...I found out it sticks until I switch to another VT and back...

Also, I don't have the issue with the actual Control key...

Re: [Solved]How do you switch Ctrl and Caps Lock on the command line?

I have a feeling it's an issue that the original mapping (CapsLock -> CapsLock) hasn't been removed...anyone know what to do?

Re: [Solved]How do you switch Ctrl and Caps Lock on the command line?

I got ctrl to register as a caps lock, but the only problem is removing the caps lock association from the caps lock key.

Re: [Solved]How do you switch Ctrl and Caps Lock on the command line?

Never mind...found an even *easier* solution:

sudo loadkeys /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/emacs2.kmap.gz

(which *doesn't* have the problem I had with the dumpkeys stuff)
