#! QR Code

Hello,
I've had #! on my eeepc 701 for a few months now (after getting sick of the endless ubuntu variations) and love it.  It also then replaced LMDE on my desktop.

I've been messing around with QR codes for another forum I use, specifically a QR code generator I found recently that embeds a small image in the center.  I thought that the #! logo seemed ideal for this and gave it a go:

The QR code is a link to the #! main site, and the generator I used is here (image embedding uses the graphical tab).  There are other generators that I think give a clearer image but I do like the effect that the embedded logo has

^ Well, if this were a democracy (or a legislative body) I'd call for a vote...but it's not.   I agree though, maybe it's something Philip could add to the selections available from CafePress.

I think QR codes in general are ideal for stickers, although I haven't got around to trying to print any myself.:)

Would that not have to be corenominal?  Am I right in thinking he has rights over the logo?  I certainly couldn't see any issues with using the QR code itself from that website I used as it seems to be geared towards commercial use anyway.

I just whipped out my Android phone to scan the QR and it read it very quickly. I agree that this would be a great sticker to have. I get around with a lot of geeks and the local hackerspace, so having the distro specific QR code sticker on my portable would be icing on the geek style cake.

just for fun, I've been rebooting demo laptops in retail stores with #! when nobody's looking.  A simple prank, really.  (if only there were a demo script like in Window$) 

edit; If only I knew enough to write a demo script.

A cling-type sticker on the screen would be the perfect mark of Zorro for such hijinks.  I reckon you could get six of them on the standard Cafe Press sticker template...

Intended to be individually cut out.  The OCD will notice misalignment.  Not important for this application.

Along with a sticker your prank could include the #! QR code as a part of the background image.
