Whoa, someone painted the walls in here....

Sheesh, I go for a month or two without logging into the forums only to come back and find that I no longer have a user account.  Ha!  The forum is looking nice Philip.  Looking forward to trying out the new 8.10, although you'll probably have the final version out before I will have time to install/test the current beta version.

So.... introductions.... guess I'll go first since no one else has.
I've been using #! now since the first version came out (still love that dark theme with the orange highlights).  Funds are limited at the university where I work, so my main laptop is an old PIII hand-me-down with 256 MB of RAM; it runs crunchy just fine and I've been quite pleased with it.  Currently running the 8.04 version.  This machine mostly gets used when I am traveling, in meetings, giving presentations, or if I need to work remotely; I have a desktop machine for my main production environment.  It functions well for just about anything that I need it to do, including things like basic programming, web development, web surfing, and giving presentations.

The #! experience has allowed me to formulate the opinion that I like using Openbox more than Fluxbox.  I really appreciate the light-weight, un-bloated, simplistic feel to the interface, and I also enjoy how easy it is to customize the system.  Thanks Philip for putting this all together!

Hey hilltop smile

Good to see you here! I am pleased you like the new forums, I have been a little worried that the old hats might reject the change. Having said that, I think it needed doing and again, I am please you have migrated over.

Regarding the final 8.10.01 release, hopefully it will be out within the next couple of days.
