A quick 3 step Dropbox install on statler xfce (without Nautilus) taken from the forum and elsewhere:
1)Download the bin files here: http://www.getdropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86
2)Extract and move .dropbox-dist to /home/your_username
3)In order to have Dropbox running every time you use Xfce, you need it to autostart.
Go to Menu -> Settings -> Settings Manager -> Autostarted apps -> and add the following:
/home/your_username/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd
It should now be up and running!

An update to my previous dropbox install.
I have had some problems with syncing as of late, so I thought I'd reinstall from scratch following the following cl instructions taken from the link below. It was a breeze to install and it works fabulously (no Nautilus is necessary).
I am running it on Statler openbox with pcman and on xfce with pcman.

Works great!
I was thinking, is this the latest version? But then I realized that the link is a dynamic link to the latest dropbox for x86 based CLI usage. So I guess, to update we just need to go to that link, download and then replace the files. in home/user/.dropbox-dist
Thanks!

You can also get the latest forum-build version from here:

I had not any problems running these builds.
