how intall sk1 project on statler

hi im trying to install sk1 on statler i try compille and i can and just mint and ubuntu .deb to intall can someone try install im read that is better than inkscape and can read corel and AI files so i want to try
i dont like to inkscape because interface i like Illustrater so im trying a free program now but i can install

what you say sk1 or inkscape??
