CrunchBang Lite 8.10.02 doesnt have them. Were they not good or did you (Philip) just like lxpanel more?

I am hoping tint makes it in the full version of CB (8.10.02).

Check your autostart.sh file... I think you can just comment out lxpanel and uncomment tint and trayer.

The autostart.sh file doesnt list tint or trayer. Besides their packages arent even installed.

That's a good question, I thought the tint+trayer combo would make it to the full CB desktop. It's such a nice setup, and still lighter than lxpanel I thought.

I like the tint and trayer combination, but unfortunately tint is just not as stable as lxpanel. I think it is important to attempt to make the default installation as stable as possible. Hopefully tint will mature into an excellent task manager I will be keeping an eye on its development progress. Meantime, as you are aware, tint and trayer are only an apt-get away.
