Re: gutterslob art gallery

I like those simple but elegant flower silhouettes.  Any one of them would make a nice desktop background, but unfortunately they seem to be all part of one image.

Re: gutterslob art gallery

I'll try to make a few more of these zen flowers for you guys

If anyone wants them in a specific colour combination, you're free to ask... just state the colours you want and I'll see if I can work something out.... but they're not as simple as they seem (certain colours only work with certain arrangements, and flower arrangement isn't as easy as it looks, even if it's just simple digital flowers) tongue , so it might take a day or two (or three or four) for me to process your requests, depending on my day-job and slacking schedule.

@arp
Thanks for taking the trouble to make a gallery for my junk.... you're such a charitable soul, tirelessly promoting a talentless hobo. tongue

Cheers.

Re: gutterslob art gallery

What the?!!!...... this thread's still alive? lol hmm

If you guys want, I can provide some of the more recent setups I've posted.
The wallpapers are rather plain, since they were designed to accentuate the Openbox theme (OBT) and ACYL icons.
They're mostly either just smudge work or plain lines (but I've sort of "calculated" the values so that they can be worked on for long hours without eye-fatigue, for most people at least)

I could package each one with the related OBT, GTK, tint2rc and xcompmgr settings if you guys want. I'll also include the colour values for you to apply to the AnyColorYouLike icon script to get matching gradients for the icons.

2 recent examples;

201003172119201024x600s.png

201003062213171024x600s.png

Obviously, I'll be making other colour combinations in future. There's currently the 2 above, a grey/black one, another blue one and an aqua one. You'll know what I'm talking about if you've been to the screenshots thread. I'll probably make an orange and green version in the next few days.

If anyone wants them, let me or Arp know. smile

Cheerio~

Note:
Unlike the wallpapers and OBT, the GTK used isn't completely mine.
It was originally based on Hanna's Black Grass one, so be sure to give thanks to her. tongue

Re: gutterslob art gallery

I would like to see gutterslob complete packages (ob+ gtk) in statler. I'm a fan of your work gutterslob, keep on. I think we got real artists in this community, for name some i remember (excuse which i forget): omns, tawan, hanna, and many others. They all have made amazing looks that could be included in the distro. Keep on guys and girls. We could have the distro with the best artwork packages ever. And let's not forget corenominal, the main artist who started all this, with the simple, elegant, black #! look we love.

Re: gutterslob art gallery

hi gutterslob smile
good to see you here , in your topics wink
talking about complete setup, i'm very interrested, so if you don't mind, please send them to me and i'll update your gallery......  or maybe, one day, you will build your own gallery somewhere big_smile

as aaro said, +1 for a gutterslob-artwork.deb in statler smile . like omns or zwooper artwork-pack.
or maybe you could use this thread to share your setups... if it's ok with corenominal wink

see you soon,

Re: gutterslob art gallery

Alright, here's the first one, for you guys to test out.

Screenshot
201003220032501024x600s.png

Download Link = http://www.mediafire.com/?ve554qlxoht
Pack contains a folder with the  OBT +GTK, tint2rc,.fonts.conf, 2 high-res wallpapers and some additional details.
Apologies for the large file size. It's mainly because of the wallpapers (I consider jpeg compression the enemy of humanity).

Criticism is welcome. smile

I'll try to get some of the previous ones zipped and ready the next time I log on, since I know some people have already pm'ed me for the blue and pink setups.

@Arp
This one, I'm posting here to test the waters
The following packs I'll send to you to put on your DevArt page. smile

Re: gutterslob art gallery

I know some of you are expecting the coloured variants, but I've so far received the most PM requests for this one, so.....

Screenshot
201003221608061024x600s.png

Download Link = http://www.mediafire.com/?zynmfdhxiky
Pack contains a folder with the OBT + GTK, my tint2rc, .fonts.conf, a 2048x1200 wallpaper and some additional details.
Please read the Details.txt for additional info.

If you compare this screenshot to the previous ones, you'll notice new windec buttons. Personally, I prefer the new ones (old ones were recycled from various other themes). If you want these new windec buttons for the previous Dark Teal theme, replace the openbox-3 folder with this new one found here = http://www.mediafire.com/?zdhmvzwyte0

Your criticism is highly valued, so feel free to post any thoughts/opinions/requests here or via PM.

@Arp
Since you mentioned you were busy, I just posted here.
I initially wanted to keep it exclusively on your DevArt page to give you more hits, and hopefully lead people to your own lovely setups, so I can easily remove this post at your request once you upload it to your page. smile
..and Tiling WM's are great... I'm personally a fan of ScrotWM and Ratpoison. big_smile

+1 for this one. I really like your tasteful laid-back designs, gutterslob. There are other really nice ones arund, but I like yours the best. Would be a pleasure to see some sets of your work included in Statler by default.

Re: gutterslob art gallery

Some of you requested for something brighter to go with the Neutrality theme from my last post.

Here it is in 2048x1200.
inversenuetral.png

Should scale well enough for most aspect ratios. Let me know if you need a larger sized one.

P.S
I'll have one of the coloured setups ready in a short while. (sorry, been very busy today)

Re: gutterslob art gallery

The Metro one is ready.

Old screenshot, but the pack contains the new updated window decorations
201003062213171024x600s.png

Download Link = http://www.mediafire.com/?wzmzx3mk3nm

Pack contains a folder with the OBT + GTK, my tint2rc, .fonts.conf, 3 x 2048x1200 wallpapers and some additional details.
Please read the Details.txt for additional info.

2 of the wallpapers in the pack might appear the same at first, but there's a slight difference in texture, tonality and contrast between them.
I didn't make a striped wallpaper for this pack, but feel free to ask if you want one.

It's been a hectic day for me here, so let me know if I forgot to include anything in the pack.

Cheers
