If you always have your web browser full screen then you may like even more space and to undecorate the window
look in ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml
there is a section probably empty except for comments called <applications>
add to that something like this
<application name="firefox-bin">
<decor>no</decor>
<fullscreen>yes</fullscreen>
</application>EDIT(2): You may have issues with the 'fullscreen yes' element on things like pop-ups and downloads dialog, so just remove it.
EDIT(1): The two plugins you need are
and
Note with the compact menu you'll have to right click the top panel and customize, then drag thing about.

Good tip!
I use the Full Fullscreen firefox plugin on my netbooks. It gets rid of that pesky nav bar at the top of the screen, giving a few extra pixels. (I just press ctrl+L to open a new site, or ctrl+J to search.)

This is a great tip! Thanxs. But then: How do I get rid of the "file edit view etc." toolbar in Firefox like you have in your screenshot?? I never use that.

Great tip, thank you!
I use Firefox 3.5.3 with Vimperator plugin on my notebook. I've set it to show no searchbar and no bookmarks, but tabs (open tab with ctrl+t, switch tabs with ctrl+tab). This is pretty handy on my 1280x800 Display.

Thanx snowpine. Installed the plugin but it still shows the "file etc." toolbar, and I cant seem to find where I make it go away. F11 doesnt help because it removes the adressbar as well.

Tab Kit extension:

...saves me lots of vertical space. Also heirachical tabs. I've been using it on my big laptop now for a few months and when using my friend's laptop I fee lost without it.
I'm guessing the Full Fullscreen Add-On is this one:

I don't really see the point of this openbox setting, or of fullscreen plugin, i feel like the native fullscreen feature (not maximized window, but real fullscreen accessed using F11 or menu View/Fullscreen) of firefox just gives the same result as the screenshot of tawan, with possibility to auto-hide the address bar.
Am I missing something ?

Tools->add-ons->Full Fullscreen->Preferences->check "Fullscreen on startup" and "hide tab bar"
I find it very convenient because my netbook does not have an F11 key.
