With the recent introduction of the CrunchBang Linux shop, it has been suggested that it might be a good idea to include more designs produced by the community. I think this is a great idea and I am willing to add a new shop section for stickers designed by the community.
If anyone would like to design a CrunchBang Linux sticker for sale in the shop, please post your designs below. Please understand that by posting your design, you are giving permission to include it for sale. All stickers will have a $1 mark-up and moneys earned from any sales will be used to help fund the project.
Regarding the designs, CafePress.com provide templates for use with the correct dimensions. You can download the templates from:
Rectangle sticker: http://www.cafepress.com/content/si/tem … ticker.zip
Oval sticker: http://www.cafepress.com/content/si/tem … ticker.zip
**Once you have completed your designs, please save your files in PNG format. The better the image quality, the better the end result/product will be. Also, it maybe a good idea to use a compression value of 0 when saving your images.**
Happy designing!
If the entries to the logo competition are anything to go by, I am looking forward to seeing what comes of this!
P.S. If this process is successful, I do not see any reason to limit it to stickers.

Yes please, I can really only work with images created from the template files. Otherwise, nice work!

Also, having the release number (9.04) might be a bad idea.. what happens when they upgrade to 9.10?
But good work!
just call me...

They purchase a new sticker!
Seriously though, it is a good point to bear in mind! Thank you for sharing it.

For those Inkscapers out there, I've created a set of basic templates from the ones posted by corenominal. These are just svg files with the templates on a locked, semi-transparent background layer so you can easily create your stuff over top of them. Remember to either have every bit of the template covered with your creation or better yet, freeze that background layer before exporting to a png file.
Here's a link to a zip file containing all four svg files (oval-landscape, oval-portrait, rect-landscape, rect-portrait):

Of course if you have any problems opening the zip file or using the templates in Inkscape, let me know.

@corenominal - star?? Apparently NOT!!
Thanks anonymous for the heads up. I forgot to embed the images. The zip file should now contain fully visible background images. Let me know how it works.

Hey rfquerin, maybe you can make some designs that include your ninja "Kuro".

This is why the Internet is so cool; knock up a design one day and it's available to purchase as a sticker the next.
@corenominal Thanks, it's a real honour to have a design included in the CrunchBang Linux Shop.
@rfquerin Thanks for sending me the SVG of your awesome logo. Remixing other people's artwork somehow feels so right when you're creating for an open-source project (and is the reason I release all of my artwork under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 license).

Thanks for the reminder Anonymous! Somebody put the little bugger on a sticker and now he looks pissed. Run for cover!

I would not like to see him angry, so it would probably be a good idea not to let him know that he is now being pimped in the CrunchBang shop!
Thank you Richard.

Hey.. would it be possible to replace that one if need be? I (yes the guy who did up the template files) completely disregarded the bleed area limits.. so the black border has gone poof! in the actual sticker. I would like to revise that image if I can. Let me know if it's a problem. I'll post up the revised version shortly regardless.

No problem at all, looking forward to seeing the revised image.

Actually.. it's not that accurate as far as where the border "may" get cut. The template only gives a 'safe' area for important elements. If your important element is a border.. you're basically guessing.
So maybe leave that one in, but also upload this slight alternative which might have a better chance at a border being visible (not that the border will necessarily be even on the sides and the bottom though.
Ah well.. let's take a chance:

I have changed it to the revised image, but you were correct about the border not being even.
See what you think. Maybe go for borderless?
Offline
Borderless would look better if only because the gradient is partially black.

I like the idea, nice one!
The image may need some adjustments though, firstly the rounded corners look spiffy, but the stickers are rectangular and as with rfquerin's design, they may not replicate well because they are outside the "safe" working area. Maybe it would be safer to lose the rounded corners? Also, is all the top and bottom text within the safe working area? Maybe it would be safer to increase the size of the black areas and move the text so that it sits well within the safe working area?
