xrandr dual monitor clipboard/network/volume not on primary monitor

Hi,

I have crunchbang installed on virtualbox with dual monitors. Everything is working great except the clipboard/network/volume controls appear on the top right of the secondary monitor instead of the primary one.

Here is my configuration script.

#!/bin/sh
xrandr --output VBOX1 --mode 1280x960 --pos 1280x0 --primary --output VBOX0 --mode 1280x960 --pos 0x0 --left-of VBOX1

I tried implicitly setting the left-of and right-of on both of them but that didn't change anything.

Also is there a way to identify the monitors? I just guessed that virtualbox:1 = VBOX0 and virtualbox:2 = VBOX1

And to clarify, here is what I am trying to accomplish.
virtualbox:1 sits to the left of virtualbox:2  but virtualbox:2 is the primary while virtualbox:1 is just the extended desktop.

It doesn't' really matter which one as I can drag the vm windows and reverse the xranr config but it still has the same issue.

Conky system info shows up on the primary desktop as it should. Just not those other icons.

Thanks for any suggestions

Re: xrandr dual monitor clipboard/network/volume not on primary monitor

Figured out it was tint2 drawing the taskbar and changed this setting from 'all' to '2' in ~/.config/tint2rc
panel_monitor = 2
