When I click on the audio icon at the top right corner and slide the bar to change the audio level, another bar appears at the same location.

This is a bit confusing. Any idea? Thanks in advance.

I have uploaded a patched version of xfce4-volumed, which should resolve this issue. Please perform a system update to verify.
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgradeNote, you may, or may not need to restart xfce4-volumed before you can see the fix.
killall xfce4-volumed && xfce4-volumed &Offline
Nice.

Just noticed that, when I muted by right clicking the sound icon and choose Mute, the other bar still appeared. Not sure if this is by design.
