Good Morning
I'm doing some part time work for a company who'd like me to set up a system similar to the linux repositories and also the automatic update system used by ubuntu.
After some research, I think I can set up a repository system but the catch is that the files won't be debian packages but pdf files. I'm not quite sure if it's possible.
More importantly though, I need assistance on how to setup an automatic update system where the client automatically updates the pdf files when newer versions become available.
If anyone could offer some assistance or advice or even point me in the right direction, I'd be indebted to you forever.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a job for rsync, possibly.

@fortyseven: Sorry, I didn't see this thread until just now. Congratulations on the new job! I recall reading elsewhere on the forum that you (like so many of us) were underemployed; I hope things are looking up.
How's the PDF repository coming along?
while ( ! ( succeed = try() ) );
We've earned a reputation as a nice, friendly community; please help us keep it that way.
