oops spoke to soon-updrade

hesitated but just did the recent upgrade of waldorf 806 - 64bit image to the recent 3.2.0-3 kernel and graphics greatly depreciated, mplayer lost the clarity-now blocky/blurry as vlc was, current load average hangs about 1.2,cpu average 5% higher @ idle, not exactly sure which lib replacement affected it but going to re-install previous kernel, system is pretty basic...

Re: oops spoke to soon-updrade

I always do a reformat-clean install with testing, the path I took was clean install of latest waldorf 64bit from testing, loaded fine, played with mplayer which I hadnt used since way back on a buntu 10.04lts which I'm not impressed with ubuntu-unity-mate- etc at all anymore. I do most everything in terminal and did an update, noticed 182 to be upgraded and went with it. Thought for sure it reported replacing linux headers while scrolling but it is the same kernel I noticed after re-installing today. Load av and cpu back to normal again and mplayer impressive. while some get obsessed with WM's, I get obsessed with realistic video rendering and sometime think VLC would be the perfect app if some of its filters werent beyond my comprehension. Wonder if the update pointed me to the correct testing repos?
