Euro AND UEFA 2012

Didn't find a thread on this yet, so I made one. Purpose? Discuss everything EUFA2012 related, such as played matches and decisions by referees you don't agree with big_smile

So, who is your favorite for this year's trophy?

Re: Euro AND UEFA 2012

I do not have a horse in this race but I am pulling for either Poland (Szczesny is my favorite keeper) or Croatia.

I guess I kinda have two horses, then, huh? tongue

Strongly disagree with the red card Szczesny got --- penalty...mehh... okay, but straight red? Harsh!

Will be interesting to see how England does the first 2 matches sans Rooney.

Saw Dzagoev's strike -- unlucky for Cech.  I like Rosicky but the Czechs will really have to pull one off to advance from the group.

The referee had to pull the red card if he gives the penalty.
It is dumb, but those are the rules. hmm

It was because there was no other defender near.
Especially in those cases, where the goalkepper is alone, I do not like the rule and it should be modified.

No need for a telly if you can watch footy streaming online. big_smile

(although I can watch it on the tv)

But Russia was a bomb. The game was really great recently. And I guess the worst once are Greece and Poland. tongue

Seriously, what happened to the Czechs?! They used to be awesome. Must be all that high quality beer and fanny they get in Prague draining the players.

Mod Edit

Not an issue. smile

I hope Germany trash Cristina Primadona and co.

Edit: No offense to any Portuguese peeps here. I just don't like your current crop of players. Shaved legs, hand-stampers, moaners... wtf?!!

Re: Euro AND UEFA 2012

Is this the right place to state, that I don't give a damn about No1 Volkssport in my country ?
I hate it and everything arround it. (mb just because of everything around it)
This is no sport in my book. Don't want to start a serious discussion here (or provoke anyone). Just wanted to get this out of my system. So move along folks, nothing to see here in my post! Ignore it.

Re: Euro AND UEFA 2012

^ I don't consider football a sport either, fwiw. It's merely a game . Still fun to watch and argue over, and there's gotta be something special about a game that can make soldiers go peaceful and civilians go violent in equal measure.

I liked that one. Now that I think of it again there are some good aspects. So from now on I won't hate everything around it.

About game vs sport. Let's do this another time (or never). But I liked the quote.
