Hi friends,
Just as the title says, I just installed newsbeuter ("the mutt of rss") and was looking for some good macro ideas. For example, this one to open an image in feh:
macro i set browser "feh %u"; open; set browser "luakit %u"Aww yeah. What do yall have?

sorry to go a bit off topic. Found this by searching Newsbeuter in general for install experiences. I'm at work now, but looking to get this installed sometime soon. Is this is the repos, or did you install from source? Any advice you have from any hiccups you ran into while installing.
I'm running statler stable
thanks,

so far I just got it hooked up with google reader. trying to get it configured with some podcasts, both audio and video. had some difficulty getting the syntax right, at least that is what it seemed from the err I was rec'ving. Have you set yours up like that at all, for podcasts?

Nope ! just GReader...really that's the only reason I'm using it. I started this thread to see if there was a good way to see images (the way I've got isn't working) and such, otherwise I might start using rawdog or something...

What's wrong with the way the macro is now?

last time i used it (which was a while ago, a few months) the macro wasn't working correctly..something like it would open the webpage in a browser when all i wanted was the image or something.

That's odd. The macro that opens up image urls in feh? Cause it works for me. The only complaint I have with it is that I can't filter the urls because I always have to search for the image urls in my feeds.
