Hey guys I hope this is the right section to put this in. I was wondering if some of you guys could help me by making a logo for the distribution I am building. It is called mnml*nix it is going to be a mostly dark minimal and CLI based (with X) I am also hoping for some wallpapers if any of you guys would like to take a shot at making some dark minimal retro style wallpapers. The reason I ask is because I don't want to be boring and have everything done by myself and also I am seriously rubbish at designing cool looking logo's.
Thanks to everyone in advance.

I am really sorry guys I did not realise this thread was getting so many questions! but, I will answer them all now.
@mrpeachy I will try to make it as minimal as I can but with functionality for as many things as possible such text editing, image editing etc. also the logo looks really awesome!
@nakkeru See here, though it is possible that not every one of those apps will be installed. I am also thinking of having WMFS as the default WM and also spectrwm.
@damo The colours I have in mind will probably be mono. GTK themes will be streamlined and most likely no pixmapped themes as they are slower than hex colour coded GTK themes. I will check out your message after this post and come back =]
@Falkkon Thanks for taking such an interest =] Well the sort of artwork I have in mind would not be too colourful but it would be minimal and ambient. Your current avatar for example, that is the style I like. The logo should be as minimal as possible and I have been thinking of the logo being some sort of box.
@zalew Now that is a great idea! +1

Well, did something, there it is, the symbol in the corner is the lower right part of an asterisk '*'. I will make more versions later. All feedback is appreciated

^Really cool stuff you got there Falkkon, the third is the coolest imo.

I sent a few ideas to xeNULL, and this one seems to have caught the eye

I like these sketches as well

Now we've got the ball rolling we can come up with more stuff!....

That is very nice Falkkon! could you do a version that has the arrow shape more symmetrical and the colour as #D3D3D3?
Sorry for replying a tad late, do you want the arrow to be #d3d3d3 or the background?

The arrow if it is not to much trouble Falkkon =]

The arrow if it is not to much trouble Falkkon =]
Not a problem, here:
Actually the "arrow" is a lower part of an asterisk, I don't know if you read that part
. If you still want me to make it more symmetric, then I'll do it

^ Have you tried moving the text up and cropping the image to end with the asterisk? Sorry I'm not associated I just thought it might look nice

No problem, all feedback is appreciated, but I'm afraid, I don't understand what you mean, do you want me to crop it like this?

^ yes. (The text could be made smaller to fit better or whatever too...of course
)
Also I think that's a great idea. I really like that asterisk up in the corner....so if I get a vote that's mine

So after some time I decided to scrap the old version and work on some new ones, which I think are better as logos. I came up with these:
The colours can be changed of course to what xeNULL wants, or it can stay black and white. I made them like this because I thought this would look better like a standalone logo, the old version didn't quite look good to me, and these new ones are better for wallpapers as they are more flexible and can be placed in more locations. That's that, looking forward to feedback from anyone interested in helping

Dont you think that that's a bit too small for us to see?

Me is voting 3. because you would not be able to read the text of 1. at small sizes. I'm not good at using graphics-software myself but I could image having '> mnm1' or '#mnm1' or just 'mnm1' instead of that star ('mnm1' could also be on a new line). You guys may want to try that with your logo.
