This morning, I have added direct download links to the main #! download page. w00t!
The CrunchBang project now has ~16TB of bandwidth available each month (not counting any contributed mirrors) and hopefully this should be enough to allow direct downloads for some time.
It should be noted that BitTorrent remains the recommended method for downloading, and I would like to thank everyone that has helped out by seeding the images. You guys rock!

You rock too! Great News!

Awesome news, Philip!
Now...how's about links to the February Stable releases for those who prefer to avoid backports?

+1
I will be sticking with the February release until I am sure of finding a way to disable "backports by default" with the new release.
ps. I know that the kind folk here have already suggested methods of doing this after installation but I much prefer backports to be a user-configured option, rather than being automatically enabled from the outset. Maybe I am just too cautious.

The point release was out for about a month before I decided to give it a shot; fortunately, the only trouble I've had with it was the (previously documented) odd keyboard behavior on TTY1 with the amd64 backport kernel.

Does someone still has a direct download link to the 64bit version of the r20110207 Openbox release? All those which I found were hosted on Megaupload. Thanks in advance!
EDIT
A working torrent would be appreciated, too. Those on the homepage unfortunately no longer seem to work.
EDIT II
Though I really loved r20110207 I decided for my switch to 64bit I'll use the latest Crunchbang Image, so never mind the request above. Hope everything will work out as well as with the "old" Statler.

Sorry to border everyone again. Contrary to what I just wrote, if someone would still have those images (r20110207, 64bit, Openbox) as either torrent or direct download - I would be very grateful.

The Feb. 2011 images are deprecated, I do not recommend.

Well, it's still Squeeze and it does the normal updates. So if you would still know a place where I could get them, despite your advice against using them, I would be very thankful.

Feb. 2011 release is not "just Squeeze" but also uses a crunchbanglinux.org repository that has been abandoned. You will have outdated kernel, browser, flash plugin, etc. unless you take the necessary steps to update them yourself. Just a warning; it is your choice in the end (just as it is Corenominal's choice to remove the outdated images from his site if he no longer supports/recommends them).

Well, I'm aware of that. I disabled the February Crunchbang repository since corenominal switched repos and just updated Squeeze like one normally would do, installed newer Kernels from the backports, etc.
But I get what you are saying. There is probably no way to get this image. Well, then there is nothing I can do, I guess. Thanks anyway.

The choice is yours; I just wanted to clarify that my comment/warning was for a specific reason, not a knee-jerk "newer is always better, so you must use the new release."

Hehe, I understand.
But apparently it's not as the image seemed to be vanished from net. Well, it cannot be helped, then.

To be honest I still have the Feb 2011 version installed on a couple of computers myself.

There's a new release without backports enabled. You can find it on the download page. We huffed, and puffed, and got it from papanominal.

@paolo:
I am sure el_koraco is referring to the 20120207 ISO's, while OP is referring to 20110207.
I hate to disappoint you, but no, there is no new release
