Hello all,
Today I’ve requested that I be removed as a moderator of these forums. My commitment here has been very on and off for some time and I think it’s fairer to all if I just move on as it effects my objectivity when working with the project. I have enjoyed my time immensely with CrunchBang and hope it goes from strength to strength. For now though my commitments (outside of Linux) lie elsewhere and this is the best way to get on with that.
If you feel like saying hello, the place I tend to hang out most these days is on Google+ at my personal profile or at my blog my blog
Happy sailing all, it’s been a blast

But you won't leave us here, right?

@omns, I cannot possibly thank you enough for the contributions you have made. I am sure I will not be the only person who will feel sad to see you go. It goes without saying, you are welcome here any time. Again, thank you, and don't be a stranger!

Ouch! This is quite a blow to the #! forums. When I saw a topic that was several pages long (and I didn't want to read the whole thing) there were always a few names that I scanned for to make sure that I read their posts in particular. omns, yours was one of those. I hope that you'll continue to contribute here.

I know that, we each, have other commitments and parts of our lives outside of Linux . . . at least, some people have a life.
You have made a difference, to my time here, with the #!Forums ... I sincerely hope that this does not totally end.
I have always enjoyed tracking your blog and now google+

I've been absent from the #!-forums for a loOong time.

Thanks, oms, three years is quite a long time.
I'm also only occasionally here; so can't really judge the present state of the forum.
But in the time you were strongly present here I was often here and a post of you guaranteed serious challenging business and no meaningless chitchatting.

Thank you for sharing all your wisdom about Linux and everything else omns, have always read your posts with interest. Special thanks for your balancing when threads have gone astray and too off topic. Drop in and say hello when you have time and lust for it, you are always welcome. Good luck further!
#!, all else is but a shadow!
May the Kernel be with you!

Goodbye, at least here, and thank you Omns. Especially, as others have already pointed out, your diplomacy and calm common sense have helped sort things out on numerous occasions.
