NOTE - A much more prolific HowTo that includes Decibel can be seen here
I have worked with several music apps and getting conky to work... I had a request to create a conky for Decibel with cover art, it was a challenge that I could not pass up
Here is the results and how to create a Conky with Decibel Audio Player Cover Art
You will need to copy these three files to your /home directory and make sure each are executable
First is a python script that pulls all of the mpris/dbus info for the song playing... This script is based on the excellent work done by Conky/Python/Scripting Master Kaivalagi
conkyDecibel.py
#!/usr/bin/env python2
# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-
###############################################################################
# conkyDecibel.py is a simple python script to gather
# details from Decibel Audio Player for use in conky.

would it be wise to move/remove this thread (and others like it) because they are now contained in your all-encompassing thread?
Offline
well i'm no moderator or anything so have no powers... i'm simply concerned with keeping the forums tidy. so if you don't want to do it yourself we'll see if a moderator replies, or otherwise just leave it be. i came across it so i thought, you know... that's all.
Offline
Nothing like a tidy forum...
It is up to a mod...
There would also have to be an adjustment on the Quick Reference pages where this thread is also posted ..
There is also one just like this for Deadbeef here which could also be cleaned out
