Is it better of waiting to do an update until thing settle down again? And then how to wait?

This might be helpful to others as debian moves to the new stable version and trying to maintain a usable/stable sid.

And opinions/suggestions would be appreciated.

Edit: It does. Wifi is recognised straight away by bbqlinux bauchspeck gnome. The kernel is only a few version changes behind the one I'm using...

deb-src http://http.debian.net/debian/ unstable main contrib non-free

Then

apt-get update
apt-get build-dep xcompmgr

And you can build compton.
