I am a happy user of #!, system is stable.

At this time I changed from statler stable to wheezy, and stayed on this to this day. Being an extremely satisfied user of PekWM (again, thanks to legendary 30 WM thread). Have had problems with gnome-keyring due to own ignorance, but solved it (almost) complete.

Reason to go to wheezy/testing was various software versions (as I recall, bluefish editor was really too old in stable, compared to testing). As for your Rainlendar problem, I agree, but often debian catches up 'quickly'. I also see that Ubuntu has libc6 v.2.15. Perhaps you can force update of libc6 with version from ubuntu?

Now I am waiting for non-test Waldorf to install on Dell; in the meantime, I'm playing with Waldorf-testing in virtualbox and on USB stick (e.g. just installed on Asus Eee 1005HA with broken HDD).

Maybe to break in your boots, install stable. You can always change it to Sid, or testing, or whatever later by a few keystrokes to [//etc/apt.sources.list] Lots of documentation by people smarter than I on the subject.
